One of my goals for 2016 is to continue to challenge my creativity in my makeup artistry. This time, I decided to explore more with loose pigments and glitter. I was already pre-warned of the potential mess that it may cause, so I was prepared. Glitter eye makeup is trendy, fun, pretty and tricky if not applied correctly. I must admit, I purchased some glitter and loose pigments from MAC Cosmetics about a year ago and never used it. So this is the perfect opportunity for practice. I first discovered using glitter eye makeup back in October while working with one of my favorite makeup artists, MiMi Johnson. Since my eyes are my best feature, I fell completely in love with the final look. I revisited using glitter again for my Anti-Valentine’s Day makeup collaboration, which I loved. This time around, I wanted to create a more dramatic look by adding a pigment along with the glitter and a smoked out eye. I enjoyed creating this look! It is fun, flirty and dramatic.
