JayChantelle's Current Drugstore Obsessions
For this post, I wanted to share some of my favorite drugstore products. Great makeup does not always come from the more of prestige products, but if properly applied, drugstore brands are just as great, if not better. If you are a beginner or just playing around with makeup, you should not spend too much money on products that you will only eventually end up wasting. Don’t consider purchasing expensive products just because it is popular; you should spend your money wisely – makeup is an investment. Plus, there are so many brands that offer great products, and I am one who does not judge on what looks good no matter the cost. Also, some expensive products are not worth the money. So don’t limit yourself to any particular brands. With that being said, let’s get to it.
e.l.f. Brushes
Kabuki face brush and eyeshadow "c" brush
I found these brushes at my local Marshall's store in the cosmetics section. In a set of 9, I instantly purchased these brushes to keep in my collection, especially for $10. A makeup enthusiast can never have too many brushes. While trying out the brush collection, I gravitated to the Kabuki face brush and the eyeshadow "c" brush. I primarily use the Kabuki brush for applying my translucent powder and it is amazing. I also use the eyeshadow "c" brush while applying pigments and loose shadows to my eyelid.

Ardell Eyelashes
I love these eyelashes. I have been not only using this brand of lashes on my self, but on clients as well. Turn your eyes from basic to glam in minutes and it does not cost as much. Their double-up collection is one of my favorites. Not to mention, they are reusable and they are the winner of the 2016 InStyle Best Beauty Buys.

Maybelline Facestudio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Translucent Loose Powder
All I can say is that this translucent powder is amaze balls! My makeup bff, MakeupShayla introduced me to this powder a few of months ago (via Snapchat and YouTube). I can always count on her recommendations because they have yet to let me down. With that being said, I decided to give it a try. It is definitely a great product. I know a lot of people use Laura Mercier, Ben Nye and Sacha. Those are great products as well. If you are looking for a translucent powder that undetectable, leaves a matte finish, reduces back flash, and not expensive, then I would suggest adding it to your collection. My makeup does not move and it leaves my skin silky and soft. Oh and FLAWLESS. I love it.

L'Oreal Telescoptic Mascara
I love this mascara because the wand is flexible and fine enough to tackle my bottom lashes. It gives them length and it does not clump up. Like most women, my bottom lashes are thin, and I look to achieve length than volume when it comes to them. This mascara does exactly what I want it to.

LA Girl Glide Gel Eyeliner Pencil
Fining a great eyeliner is not easy. That has been my struggle for a while, trying to find a good eyeliner pencil that lasts. Recommended by makeup blogger and influencer, Ellarie, this gel pencil is extremely pigmented and it lasts. I primarily use it on my waterline. It goes on easily, its smooth while applying and it is only $5. This is my every day liner, and I mean, every day (well when I am wearing makeup).

Makeup Revolution Baked Blusher
The baked blusher by Makeup Revolution was my first product I purchased from them. This blush is highly pigmented and gives your face that extra kiss of approval. I frequently used this blush during the summer for a bronzed look. It is buildable and looks amazing on your skin. I love it.

Self-care is important. Today, I made it a priority to take care of me, Jennifer J. This past week has been stressful, between working my full-time job, managing my business, and other personal endeavors was enough. Saturday, I spent a day of enjoying Atlanta, but the pollen is something else!
