Okay, okay! I know that I am SUPER late, but it is better to be late than never! This past Labor Day holiday weekend, I did an impromptu makeup haul. I had every intention to remain as calm and content. However I failed that mission completely. I did manage to purchase some goodies, so I am satisfied. Anyway, let's get started.
My first purchase was a much-anticipated one as I decided to buy the infamous STONE matte lipstick and lip pencil from MAC at Crocker Park. I loved the color from pictures I saw on social media but when I tried it on, I instantly fell in love. This shade of color is perfect for fall. Good luck finding it. It is sold out online and only selling at a few MAC stores.
MAC Matte Lipstick in Stone (muted grayish taupe brown) $17.00 maccosmetics.com at this current time, it is temporarily sold out. MAC Lip Pencil in Stone $16.50 maccosmetics.com.
My second purchase was the Pro Sculpting Duo Undetectable Face Contour in #2 Golden Duo from Makeup Forever. Let me tell you that I LOVE this product!! I first saw it when I was watching a broadcast via Periscope from Atlanta-based makeup artist, @allthingsbee. I was more excited to purchase the product rather than trying it on. Once I wore it, I received tons of compliments on how my face was glowing. I am a happy camper! You don't need a lot, as a little will go far, especially if you are looking for that perfect glow. It was pretty pricey, but in my opinion, it is worth the price. I purchased mine from Sephora.

On to my third purchase! Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara. I saw a post on Instagram from @ellarie where she used this mascara on her eyelashes, and it looked amazing on her. Of course, it does not take much for me to be convinced to purchase any makeup product, so I purchased it when I purchased my sculpting duo from Sephora. My first initial use was great! I loved how it brought my eyelashes to life. However, after a few weeks of usage, I noticed the mascara was more clumpy than some of my other mascaras that I use, and that was a downer. I still use the mascara from time-to-time, but it is pretty sloppy. It still leaves my eyelashes looking great, but it was not what I was expecting.

My fourth purchase was more lipstick (I am a lipstick junkie) from Dose of Colors. Again, I saw this particular color, Berry Me 2 on Instagram, and I was eager to try it. Once it arrived, I was ecstatic to try it. This color is gorgeous! Another favorite for the fall season! One thing I can attest about this lipstick is that it will not come off! It lasts! This was one of my purchases that was worth every dollar spent. I highly recommend this lipstick.

Last but certainly not least, my final purchase over the holiday weekend. I made this purchase on Monday night (Labor Day) at 10:00pm. I have been looking for a translucent powder for a while, and of course as I am browsing on Instagram, I saw @colordujour post a Labor Day sale of 20% off on her products. I quickly purchased her No More Shine Translucent Powder. I haven't tried it yet, but I am anticipating on trying it soon.
Color Dujour's No More Shine Translucent Powder $24.99 thecolordujour.com.
So there you have it! After the total amount of money I spent, needless to say, I had to place myself back on punishment from purchasing any makeup. However, it did not last long! I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Self-care is important. Today, I made it a priority to take care of me, Jennifer J. This past week has been stressful, between working my full-time job, managing my business, and other personal endeavors was enough. Saturday, I spent a day of enjoying Atlanta, but the pollen is something else!
