I swear this was such an impromptu look! It was a cold Saturday in The Land (Cleveland, Ohio), and I wanted to create a look that was opposite of autumn. While living in the Midwest, the cold weather is depressing, not to mention, we have some bad winter seasons. As a reminder, spring will be here in approximately four months. So, I wanted to achieve a warm, fun look with ample highlights. Kind of "mermaid-esque," you know!? Now I am not going to lie; I was a little nervous about creating this look. As a woman of color, I usually do not experiment with vibrant colors as much. I can also recall a few years back where I did not know how to use such colors, especially on my eyes. Fast-forward to 2016, I am no longer afraid, and I was pleased with the final look. I want to continue to challenge myself and creativity by playing around with more colors.

It's been a while since I've done any Get Jay's Look posts and it feels good to bring them back. Kicking off my 2018 makeup looks, it was only right to recreate Beyonce's makeup from her performance at Coachella.
